What I'm Watching...........................

 

Oh my gosh, I'm so embarrassed to admit this, but I just love this movie.  I don't know why.  I think something about imagining there is the elusive "perfect Christmas" or "perfect family" that sucks me in.  I have no brothers, sisters, cousins, or Aunts.  And to be honest, my family isn't the happiest bunch and it only takes about one day of being around each other before we don't want to be around each other!  Yes, I do have my wonderful husband and baby, but ever since I was a little girl, I imagined a big extended family and all the fun stuff that is portrayed on movies. So this movie just gets me in my fantasy land of the "perfect Christmas/family" that I always longed for.  If I'm going to be completely honest, this year my Christmas wish is to get pregnant and provide my precious Noelle with a brother/sister so she won't be alone like I am.  (sorry for that depressing story).

                                                                               What Im listening to..........................

Christmas With The Rat Pack..................These guys are the best.  I just love their style and the era.  I love that this CD has Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, because Noelle can sing those and she makes me listen to them OVER and OVER and OVER!!!!!  It's the cutest thing ever and I can't get enough of it!   There will only be one Christmas that will be the Christmas where she "get's" it.  That's this Christmas.  I want to remember her listening to Rudolph and silently repeating the words until she got them all right, and then I want to remember when she finally sang the sond out loud in the car and just smiled and smiled.  All while carrying a tiny Rudolph with her everywhere.

How stinkin' cute is this kid!

This little fancy pants dressed herself today.  She is about to turn 3 years old in 3 weeks, and she is so funny right now.  I'm also starting to see such a kind heart come out, and she hugging me, and dancing and singing.  She just has so much personality.  Her preschool teacher says she is a "firecracker".....hmmm.  Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I definitely know why she said that!  Anyway,  I can't wait for this Christmas with her!  This is the first time she "get's it".  She is always talking about Santa Claus and Rudolph, and singing Jingle Bells.  And she instists that Santa is bringing her a princess doll and a kitchen.  And she just may be right about that. 

Can anyone help me pick a rug!!???

Can anyone PLEASE help me and my indecisive ways?  I can not for the life of me choose a rug/coffee table get up for my living room!  I've been "looking" for 2 years already!!!!  I hope someone out there is reading this and will help me!  (Edit....just realized I put the pink rug in twice.  Accident or Freudian slip?.....Either way, I don't want to edit the whole pic over again!)

Gifts for the ladies.....

So this is a compilation of gifts I would like to have or give to others!  This year, my husband will be on deployment until 4 days before Christmas, so I had to send him links to things I wanted so he could buy gifts online!  I sent quite a few things to him so he could pick and choose and I won't know what he gets!

Hi!  I'm Lisa.  I am starting this blog as a creative outlet.  I'm a stay at home Mom to Noelle, and a wife to a wonderful guy.  I am also working on my Master's in Elementary Education.  I love, love, love cloudy days,  iced coffee with peppermint (even when it's not Christmas), and peanut butter in my oatmeal.  I don't like to be in the sunshine (I was born in Seattle, but adopted 3 days later and taken to sunny Florida to live at the beach...booo!  But it's my goal in life to get back to Seattle one day!), and I feel ackward looking at people when they are talking to me and telling me a really long story.  Where am I supposed to look for such a long story?  Above all else, I love and live for Jesus.  Thanks for visiting!   Here is a shot I took of my little Noe for Christmas.................
